The main target market is the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) market, with the ambition to become frontrunners and provide the first cost-effective product, with low maintenance requirements. The target cost is to reach just 2000 €/kW and secure a short return on investment. The new product will be commercialized by a new joint venture established between Fahrenheit and Akotec with Diadikasia being a strategic partner for promotion and sales in south Europe. The initial target markets are in Greece, Italy and Germany, while further expansion steps will follow once sales increase. The ZEOSOL product is suitable for areas, where both heating and cooling is required, making it not appropriate for north Europe. Its main applications are in the residential sector, small offices and hotels and other commercial buildings.
The new product can fully cover heating and cooling demand in small-sized buildings, with the following being only a typical example of the possible applications:
RESIDENTIAL SECTOR (mostly single-family houses, new build only) with a heating demand ranging 40-80 W/m² and a cooling demand ranging 30-60 W/m², depending on the location and building insulation materials. The range of households floor area that the ZeoSol system addresses is within the range 80-280 m².
SMALL OFFICE BULDINGS (either new or for refurbishments) with a heating demand ranging 30-60 W/m² and a cooling demand ranging 40-80 W/m², depending on the location and building insulation materials. The range of office buildings floor area that the ZeoSol system addresses is around 100-600 m².
SMALL HOTELS (either new or for refurbishments) with a heating demand ranging 60-80 W/m² and a cooling demand ranging 70-100 W/m², depending on the location and building insulation materials. Especially for south Europe due to intense tourism during the summer months, cooling demand can be substantially increased. The range of hotels floor area that the ZeoSol system addresses is around 200-600 m².
